Athena specialise in wedding work. We approach every wedding as a special, unique and very personal "once in a lifetime occasion". We truly appreciate that you only get one opportunity to get a wedding right!

Having played countless weddings, in some of the most popular wedding venues (including Haigh Hall, Stanley House, Last Drop Village, the Hilton Hotel and the Radisson Edwardian Hotel), we have a wealth of experience in ensuring that your wedding reception runs without a hitch.

To achieve this we of course work very closely with the bride and groom in the months before the big day. We always meet in person to discuss the details, usually at the venue itself. Discussing factors such as loading in and out, where the band will be playing, timings etc in advance means that the night runs without a hiccup.

It is always useful to discuss any additional factors - for example, we can provide on CD your first dance song, through our sound system. Many brides and grooms also wish to pick a last song for the night, to be played as the disco is coming to a close. And if the bride, the bridesmaids or even the groom fancy a singalong with the band we can have the microphone ready and waiting!!
